Mindshelf Create an account

Getting started

Five minutes of setup, then saving anything takes two taps.

1 · Create your account

  1. Go to the Sign up page, pick a username and password.
  2. An admin approves new accounts — you'll be able to sign in once that's done.
  3. Your library starts empty and is completely private to you.

2 · Put Mindshelf on your home screen

  1. iPhone: open this site in Safari → tap the Share button (square with arrow) → Add to Home Screen → Add.
  2. Android: open in Chrome → menu Add to Home screen (or "Install app").

It opens full-screen like a regular app and keeps you signed in for ~30 days.

3 · Save things with two taps

Android — nothing to set up: in TikTok, YouTube or any app, tap Share and pick Mindshelf in the share sheet.

iPhone — create a one-time Shortcut:

  1. In the Mindshelf app, tap + Add — the grey text shows your personal token. Copy it.
  2. Open the Shortcuts app → + → tap → turn on Show in Share Sheet → set input to URLs and Text.
  3. Add the action Get Contents of URL and set: URL https://library.apptester.org/api/add, Method POST, Header X-API-Key = your token, Request Body JSON with field url = Shortcut Input.
  4. Rename the shortcut Save to Mindshelf. In TikTok: Share → More → Save to Mindshelf. First run, tap Always Allow.

4 · Bring in your history (optional)

  1. TikTok: app → Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data → JSON → request, then download when ready.
  2. YouTube: takeout.google.com → select YouTube → export your playlists (CSV files).
  3. Browser bookmarks: bookmarks manager → Export (HTML file).
  4. In Mindshelf tap Import, pick the file — done. Duplicates are skipped automatically.

What happens after you save something?

Mindshelf's agent fetches it, transcribes any speech, writes a summary with key points, and files it under categories like Finance › Investments. A few minutes later it's on your shelf — searchable by any word you half-remember.
